K-8 Resources

• All projects attending the fair need to be registered through MySciFair. Click on https://myscifair.com/create-an-account?r=&state=missouri to go to the page for our fair, create an account, and complete your paperwork there. If you have created an account in previous years, use your previous login credentials, no need to create another account.

• ALL PROJECT PAPERWORK WILL BE SUBMITTED THROUGH MYSCIFAIR.

Safety forms are required for certain types of projects - please be aware of this when developing a project:

K-5

• projects involving humans require the MTRSEF K-5 Human Subjects Form

• projects involving bacteria/fungi require the MTRSEF K-5 Bacteria Form

• projects involving potentially hazardous chemicals/devices require the MTRSEF K-5 Hazardous Materials and Devices Form

• any of these safety forms that are applicable must be present and displayed when the project is set up at the fair

6-8

• ALL projects in grades 6-8 will now require one comprehensive form, the Thermo Fisher Scientific JIC Middle School Approval Form

• this form must be present and displayed when the project is set up at the fair

• projects in grades 6-8 that involve humans, vertebrate animals, or bacteria/fungi will now require pre-approval. The Middle School Approval Form will have to be submitted by the pre-approval deadline in MySciFair in order for the project to be approved. NO WORK CAN BEGIN ON THE PROJECT UNTIL PRE-APPROVAL IS OBTAINED.
